1. Blue Ribbon Kids’ Club Are your kids ready to discover how farming and agriculture can affect their own lives? With Kids’ Club events like State Fair Cookie Day, Planting Fun Day and more, kids will gain a unique perspective of the Fair while having a blast! 2. Little Hands on the Farm Children ages 2 to 10 can become farmers at this free, hands-on exhibit. Kids proceed along a path that includes a garden, grain bin, apple orchard, chicken coop, tractor shed, sheep barn and dairy barn. After gathering items along the way, kids sell these items for a Little Hands dollar to spend at the Grocery Store. Need a little you time? Check out Fair After Dark’s Adults Only Night at Little Hands on the Farm and experience your own VIP adventure ($25 per person).
3. Animal Learning Center  What could be more interesting than watching chicks hatch? Perhaps it’s seeing a calf being born or holding a baby pig? With something happening every moment of every day, you never know what you might see and learn in the Paul R. Knapp Animal Learning Center. This is your chance to get up close and personal with the animals that make Iowa’s farms famous!
4. KIDZ BOP LIVE at the Grandstand The KIDZ BOP kids are back in 2025 with their all-new KIDZ BOP Live Certified BOP Tour. Sing and dance along to today’s biggest BOPs live on the big stage, including “Espresso,” “HOT TO GO,” & “Dance Monkey.” It’s the ultimate pop concert experience for kids (and their grown-ups!) with today’s biggest global pop hits, “sung by kids for kids.”
5. Thrill Parks and Carnival Games From roller coasters to bumper cars and Ferris wheels, the Fair’s three different Thrill Parks are a staple at the Iowa State Fair. With family-friendly and heart-racing amusement park rides and fan-favorite Fair games, there’s fun for all ages!
