Flower Farms Near Des Moines

Wilson’s Orchard & Farm

Where: 3201 15th Ave Cumming, IA

What: Arrange a beautiful bouquet from their cutting garden. You’ll find blooms from tulips, to zinnias, to dahlias, and sunflowers.

PepperHarrow Farm

Where: 1809 S 4th Ave, Winterset, IA

What: This twenty-acre flower and lavender farm offers cut-your-own and pre-made bouquets, a flower CSA, and events and workshops throughout the season. Check out the Lavender Festival June 19 – June 20.

What: Hospitality is tops, as they welcome you to take in their serene spot. With pick-your-own days throughout the year, as well as pre-cut arrangements, stop at Rose Farm for workshops, wine experiences, farm-to-table dinners, and more events.

Bochner Farms

Where: 17072 88th Avenue, Indianola, IA

What: This family owned and operated flower farm is a labor of love featuring cottage gardens, a chicken coop, dahlias, and more. Come and enjoy flower farm tours, you-pick flowers, farm-to-table-dinners, and more.

Valley View Farm

Where: 5119 Harding St Prole, IA

What: They specialize in growing old-fashioned flowers and flowers that hold well as cut flowers. They also make seasonal wreaths as well as other holiday-specific bouquets.

Jester Hill Flower Farm

Where: 12430 Northwest 128th Street, Madrid

What: This boutique flower farm charges by the stem, so bring your own vessel to take home lavender, lisianthus, dahlias, and more. Volunteer for a spring planting day to earn free flowers.

Center Grove

What: In late summer, enjoy you-pick sunflowers! Admission includes a hayride to and stroll through their Sunflower Meadow. Once there, pick out a bucket and cut some blooms.

Iowa Flower Farm

Where: 11520 NE 110th Ave, Maxwell

What: They offer an ever-changing array of wildflowers, peonies, and more throughout the season. Plus events like a planting day in early spring and Sip and Snip hours on Thursdays.
