Sometimes things in life just line up perfectly. My family and I recently moved from Ankeny to Polk City. Around this same time, Sharon Hatten from RoomScapes approached us at DMMB and was interested in working with us. Yes, please!!! Although I love our house, I struggled with the living room a bit. My sweet, loving husband really wanted to put our flat screen TV above the fireplace, and my interior design “red flag” went up. I just didn’t want to take away from the beauty of the fireplace! So, thanks to Sharon and her amazing talents, we all got a living room we love.
Before the “before and after” pictures come, I have to share with you about how truly amazing it was to work with Sharon. From the beginning she was so helpful and wanted to create a room that worked for us! We wanted it to be cute and functional for our young family, and she delivered. I had specific questions for her about what to do with the fireplace as far as painting or not. She answered my questions and gave me some great resources to make the best decisions. After some intense cleaning by my amazing mother, we got the look we wanted and decided not to paint it. It may be something we consider down the road, however.
I can’t tell you how much fun it was to leave for the morning and come home to a beautifully arranged living room without having lifted a finger! Sharon used the items we already had and made it a space we just LOVE.

Rates:
Each job is custom bid, and there is never a fee for the initial visit to the property (in metro Des Moines) to see what the job entails. The straight hourly rate is $85/hour.
