BMW of Des Moines Gives Back

Des Moines Moms Blog is honored to partner with BMW of Des Moines. We love seeing our local businesses give back to our community and appreciate the chance to feature those organizations here on DMMB.

BMW of Des Moines prides themselves on being a part of the community in myriad ways. Whether it is through their monthly #‎GiveBack‬ program partnering with local charities, the Key to the City blog, or the upcoming Des Moines Triathlon, they are making a huge impact in our city!

What is our Monthly Give Back?

Each month we select a local charity who is making an impact in our community. Through social media and other platforms we help to spread awareness to the chosen organization.

We actively collect donations in store with the help of our giant teddy bear, “Bimmer”. Clients take photos with Bimmer and post it to social media after making a contribution. As a store, we donate a dollar amount for every new vehicle sold that particular month towards our Give Back partner.

This Month’s Chosen Organization

Our current Give Back for the month of July is Iowa Homeless Youth Centers.

They work to eliminate homelessness among young adults, young mothers, and children in the Greater Des Moines area.  They believe, with support and assistance, homeless individuals and families can live independently and attain self-sufficiency.

IHYC programs and staff focus on helping participants set and achieve goals in five key areas:

• Education
• Employment
• Safe Housing
• Life Skills
• Positive community engagement

How You Can Get Involved

It is easy for all of us to make a difference in our community! You can get involved by donating, spreading awareness and even by doing something as simple as sharing BMW’s posts through social media. Be sure to follow them on Facebook so you can stay connected.

Stop  at BMW to visit “Bimmer the Bear”! He sits proudly in the showroom lobby and welcomes you to stop by for a photo op. Your kids will love meeting this ginormous bear and you can quickly and easily give back in an easy way.
