Treehouse Arboretum at Iowa Arboretum & Gardens

We can’t wait for Treehouse Village to open in Madrid! The multilevel structure will have plenty of chances for kids to climb and explore and use their imagination. 

Wilson’s Orchard & Farm

Head to Cumming (about 20 minutes south of Des Moines) to enjoy farm-to-table menu, hard cider, and fresh baked goods. 

Hugo’s Wood Fired Kitchen

Enjoy wood-fire pizzas and tasty appetizers at this new eatery near Drake University at 3206 University Ave in Des Moines in the WesleyLife Campus. 

TopGolf West Des Moines

The popular year-round driving range is scheduled to open later this summer on Mills Civic Parkway. 

 
Check out the new splash pad at Lions Park in Urbandale. Other new and updated parks to visit are Grimes Waterworks Park Splash Pad and Stonegate Park in Clive 
 
 
Rent a tube and hit the slopes at this all-new year-round snow hill. The giant 600-foot slope is for ages 3 and up. 
 
 
Play, splash, and swim at this universally accessible park. You can also rent paddleboards and canoes or walk or ride on the trail around the lake.
